POS Switch Navigator guide

A dry-cleaning POS migration checklist grounded in questions you can verify

This guide is educational and evidence-limited. It does not recommend a vendor, promise migration success, or replace a vendor confirmation and an operator-run cutover plan.

Inventory before choosing a date

  • List customer identity, open orders, completed history, pricing, payments, integrations, and reports that the operation cannot lose.
  • Record every location, role, permission, recurring route, and exception that must work on day one.

Cutover questions

  • Ask the source vendor for export fields, IDs, date range, permissions, and a restorable copy.
  • Ask the destination vendor what it imports, how it reconciles duplicates, who performs the work, and what rollback means.
  • Keep each unanswered item labeled UNKNOWN until a named vendor confirms it.

ValetLoop boundary

ValetLoop is property-program software for established dry cleaners. It can provide a resident-facing property page, scheduling rules, and a property-grouped operational handoff; it does not replace the core POS, price garments, manage production, optimize routes, operate lockers, or collect resident garment-care payments.

Next step

Put one property program into practice.

Answer a bounded set of operational questions and review the resulting evidence-qualified unknowns.
