Check hardware compatibility before you schedule a POS change

Build the hardware inventory

• Record exact models, connection type, operating system, driver version, network location, and the workflow each device serves.
• Include receipt, garment-tag, heat-seal, scanner, scale, terminal, locker, conveyor, and assembly equipment—or mark the category unsure.

Test the handoff

• Ask the destination vendor to confirm each model and driver in writing; category-level support is not model-level proof.
• Test printing, scanning, weighing, payment, and label reprints during a controlled window.
• Keep a workaround and rollback plan for every device that is conditional or UNKNOWN.
